VAT Korea has received the “2020 Best Quality Supplier of the Year” award from the Samsung Mechatronics R&D Center. With this award, VAT has been recognized for its longstanding and successful collaboration with Samsung in the area of pressure control.
In this project, Samsung’s R&D team and VAT co-developed a special control algorithm for flow prediction and position pre-treated control to optimize the productivity of our control valve S670, exclusively used by Samsung in their etch processes.
This award is a tremendous success and VAT congratulates the whole team who worked on this project and made it happen. A special thank you goes to Simon Naef, Reto Kaufman, Brian Jeon and the team in Korea. It shows how VAT can extend its technological leadership in vacuum valve applications, especially in leading edge technologies for the next generation of microchip production, by working closely with our customers.
Being at the technology forefront in semiconductors is a key success factor for VAT, past, present and future. The pace of technological progress in chip design makes production ever more complex and requires our products to become more and more sophisticated with every new development. Being involved in these developments with our customers at a very early stage is therefore absolutely critical.
